WEEK of 10/16 – 10/20

 

Good morning everyone,

 

Our focus for the week of 10/16:

Reading: “Smash Crash” – high frequency words (to, a, I, am, little, the, is, see) , sequence, nouns, characters.

Phonics: Beginning sounds (Ff, Cc)

MathGeometry 2D/3D shapes ( moving shapes, plane figures, triangle, square, rectangle, circle).

Religion:  God Promises a Savior.

Social Studies: Nocturnal animals

Science:  Investigating pumpkins

 

REMINDERS:

NO SCHOOL WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 18TH. SCHOOL CLOSED FOR THE FUNERAL. PLEASE REFER TO MRS. DUROCHER’S EMAIL REGARDING. PICTURE DAYS HAVE BEEN MOVED TO NOVEMBER 7TH AND 8TH.

Monday 10/16 –  Winter uniform begins.

 Winter uniform for all boys is the white shirt with the gray vest 0r sweater, black pants and black shoes. 

Girls in grades K – 2 wear the plaid jumper, white blouse and black shoes no boots!

Tuesday 10/17 – K-1 attends Book Fair. Please place money in an envelope with students name.

Friday 10/20 – Field Trip money due by today.

Read-a-thon – Please continue to support our read-a-thon currently underway. This is a great way to earn participation points. A participation point is earned for every $100 raised. Thank you to those who have already supported our class and our school. Please continue reading with your child it is so very important. Thank you!
