Requirements For Godparents:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

  • Not a parent of this candidate<\/li>\n
  • A registered member of a Roman Catholic Parish<\/li>\n
  • At least 16 years of age<\/li>\n
  • Have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation in\u00a0the Roman Catholic Church<\/li>\n
  • If married, current marriage took place in the Roman Catholic Church\u00a0or is recognized by the Roman Catholic Church<\/li>\n
  • Attend Mass on all Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation<\/li>\n
  • Observe the days of abstinence and fasting<\/li>\n
  • Confess to a priest at least once a year<\/li>\n
  • Receive our Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist at least once a year during the Easter Season<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to the support of the Church<\/li>\n
  • Strive to fulfill my own obligations of baptism and confirmation by living\u00a0a life in harmony with the teachings of the Catholic Faith<\/li>\n
  • A Certificate or Letter of Eligibility from the parish where the Godparent is registered and attends Mass is required.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
