The Vigil begins at 8:30 pm
Requirements For Godparents:
- Not a parent of this candidate
- A registered member of a Roman Catholic Parish
- At least 16 years of age
- Have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation in the Roman Catholic Church
- If married, current marriage took place in the Roman Catholic Church or is recognized by the Roman Catholic Church
- Attend Mass on all Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation
- Observe the days of abstinence and fasting
- Confess to a priest at least once a year
- Receive our Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist at least once a year during the Easter Season
- Contribute to the support of the Church
- Strive to fulfill my own obligations of baptism and confirmation by living a life in harmony with the teachings of the Catholic Faith
- A Certificate or Letter of Eligibility from the parish where the Godparent is registered and attends Mass is required.
