Dress Code

All SACRED HEART SCHOOL students in grades kindergarten through eight wear uniforms. Summer uniforms for both boys and girls consist of a polo shirt, shorts and white sneakers. Winter uniforms offer many options, including jumpers/skirts or pants with blouses and sweaters for girls and slacks, a sweater or vest and your choice of a turtleneck or shirt and tie for boys. All children wear Sacred Heart sweats, t-shirts and knit shorts for gym.

The first Friday of every month is a "tag day," when children can wear street clothes to school for a $1 fee.

You can order uniforms either in the store or over the phone. A Lobel's representative also visits Sacred Heart several times during the school year to measure children; orders are delivered right to school for your convenience.

SACRED HEART SCHOOL -- OFFICIAL DRESS CODE

All students of SACRED HEART SCHOOL are expected to wear the correct school and gym uniforms purchased through the official school vendors for all classes.

PLEASE NOTE:
REGULAR UNIFORMS are worn from October 16th through April 27th
SUMMER UNIFORMS are worn from the opening of school in September to October 13th and April 30th to the closing of school in June

REGULAR UNIFORMS

GIRL'S
Grades K-3 -- Navy jumper, blue blouse (long or short sleeve) or White Turtleneck, with School Name, sweater (optional), navy knee socks or navy tights, school shoes.

Grades 4-8 -- Navy and white plaid skirt, blue or white blouse (long or short sleeve), or White turtleneck with School Name. Student is required to wear either the pullover sweater or sweater vest, navy knee socks or navy tights, school shoes.

BOY'S
Grades K-8 -- Gray twill or corduroy pants, navy or black belt, blue shirt (long or short sleeves) or White turtleneck with School Name, pull-over sweater or sweater vest; gray, white or navy blue socks, school tie, school shoes.

GYM UNIFORM (BOY OR GIRL) -- The gym uniform consists of a navy sweat suit, tee shirt, and sneakers. This uniform many only be worn on gym day.

**JR. HIGH BOY OR GIRL MAY CHOOSE AN OPTIONAL VARSITY LIKE CARDIGAN INSTEAD OF THE PULLOVER OR SWEATER VEST.

SPRING/SUMMER UNIFORMS

GIRL'S
Navy blue cuffed shorts
White crew socks
White sneakers, preferred

BOY'S

GYM UNIFORM (BOY OR GIRL)
Navy gym short and gym tee shirts

Students may also choose to wear their sweat suit uniform for the summer months as well

DRESS CODE REGULATIONS

Girls are permitted to wear one pair of small (non-dangling) earrings. Earrings are not permitted for boys.
Colorless nail polish is permitted.
No make-up may be worn.
Hair is to be well groomed and neat. The administration reserves the right for final approval of hair styles. Parents will be notified when students violate the Uniform and Dress Code.

TAG DAYS -- Tag Days are occasions for fund-raising. Guidelines for each tag day are published before the date and are considered part of the dress code regulations for that day.
