Nov 07 Contest – Qualifying Round, New Jersey Online

mathleague.org is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a math contest on Saturday Nov 07, 2020 for students in grades 3 through 6.

Written testing will consist of Sprint, Target, Number Sense, and Team rounds, and some subset of students will be selected to participate in an interactive Countdown round. The contest will be held online, and the cost will be $20 per student. However, a discounted rate of $15 will apply to participants who prepay their registration fees online prior to the close of online registration. The approximate schedule will be as follows. Please note that these times are all in the Eastern Time Zone.

  • 11:00 AM Online meeting room opens; please log in early in case you need to troubleshoot any tech issues
  • 11:30 AM to 02:00 PM Testing
  • 02:00 PM to 02:30 PM Countdown round

Please note that only students who have prepaid online may attend this contest. Each participant must have a designated adult chaperone who will be physically present at the same location as the student to facilitate the student’s participation in the contest, proctor the student during the tests, submit student answers immediately after each test is completed, and help grade tests if needed. If multiple students are present in the same location, they may share a chaperone as long as that chaperone can fulfill the duties required on behalf of all students in their care.PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR INFORMATION ABOUT HOW OUR ONLINE CONTESTS WORK AND WHAT STEPS YOU NEED TO TAKE TO PREPARE YOUR STUDENTS FOR THE CONTEST

Practice tests are available for purchase at the mathleague.org store if you would like to prepare for the contest (one set of tests is available for free download on our site as well). Further questions can be directed to customercare@mathleague.org or 415-662-8454. We look forward to seeing you on Nov 07!
