‘All About Me”

Our first week of school went better than I expected. All of the students did a wonderful job wearing their masks, washing and sanitizing hands, and exploring the classroom.

They started to follow the routine, and we even started to learn how to make the sign of the cross, the daily prayers, and The Pledge Of Allegiance.

PreK-3 class needs more class assistants. If you are interested please fill out the form that you can find in  the Thursday Folder and send it to me as soon as possible.

This week our theme is “ALL ABOUT ME”

Through songs, stories, poems, and art projects, children will learn what makes each of us special.

We already started to work on fine motor skills and beginning of writing by tracing simple lines. The children traced the lines with their fingers first, and then we used dot paint. We will slowly graduate to thick crayons and then markers.

All of the children did so well and I was so proud of them.

In Religion, we will talk about  “Belonging To God – God Loves Me I Am Special”

Week of 09.14 -09.18.2020

Dear PreK-3 parents,

Welcome to PreK-3!

The first day of school is an exciting milestone in your child’s life. As wonderful as this new experience may be, it can also be quite stressful for the young child. New situations and changes can, at times, be unsettling for all of us. For many children this may be their first time experiencing separation from parents or care givers at home. It is common for even the most outgoing child to be anxious on their first day of school.

Mrs.Linda and I will do whatever it takes to keep your children safe, healthy, and happy in our school.

On Monday, you can bring your child to school between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. Drive to the check point at the parking lot where we will check if your child is safe to enter the school. Please remain in the car for the whole drop off time.

Please download the Fever Free app. It is so much easier than checking the temperature and answering the questions at school.

If your child has a sibling he/she can come with them before 8:00 AM. I will be in the classroom waiting for them.

Half day students dismissal is at 11:00 AM. I will walk the students outside and meet you there.

Full day students dismissal is at 2:00 PM. I will walk the students outside and meet you at the parking lot between the church and the convent.

Please don’t park in the school parking lot at any time.

Please bring the RED FOLDER with all the forms and emergency cards that you need to bring back to school.

Please send me a quick email at marsovska@sacredheartlynd.org with your child’s name in the subject so I can save it for future communication.

Please label everything, from water bottles, juices, containers, blankets, snacks, lunch boxes, backpacks, …..

Also work at home on the potty training, flushing, washing hands, changing clothes….

GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER

From the beginning of our lives, God know us individually and calls us by name.

During the first week of school the children will discover that their names, given to them by their parents, are a very special gift that they will always have. Through songs, prayers, stories, finger plays, games, and art projects, children will both hear their names being called and also see their names written.

We will also start practicing to trace simple lines.
