5th Grade Supply List (Mrs. Rooney)

• Notebooks:
  7- one subject note books (for Language Arts/Writing, Vocabulary, Social Studies, Science, Spanish/Music, Religion, Math),
  1- marble composition book (for morning journaling)
  1- package of looseleaf paper to be used in class.
  
  
• Folders:
  Students need 9 folders for the following subjects: Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science (1 for assignments and 1 for signed tests), Religion, Music, Health and signed work.
  (Please note that Mead makes a notebook with a folder in it. These are acceptable. If you are purchasing this type of one-subject notebook, you only need to get 2 additional folders.)
  
  
• Pens and Pencils:
  At least 5 #2 pencils (sharpened), Pilot Frixion erasable gel ink pens (blue , black, and red) (NO click pens), a highlighter, a good pencil eraser, and a ruler. NO PENCIL SHARPENERS. All writing supplies are to be kept in a pencil case that fits in the desk.
  
  
• Art box and Art supplies:Please purchase a Ziplock container with the following dimensions: 10” X 6” X 3” (approx.). A label will be provided for each child's art box.
  Each art box should contain:
• crayons
• scissors
• markers
• colored pencils
• glue (stick and liquid)
  
  
• For the classroom: On the first day of school, please have your child bring with them:
• 1 box of tissues
• 1 roll of paper towels
• 1 package of antibacterial wipes
• 5 book sox to cover their hardcover text books.
  
  
• Assignment pads will be ordered.
  All 5th grade students will be required to use the same type of pad. The cost of the assignment pad is $5.00
  We also order Time for Kids. The cost is $4.30
  The health magazine is $12.00
  Please send in your payments in 3 separate envelopes marked with your child’s name, grade, and what they are for.
