Back to School 2019-2020

Hi everyone! I hope you’re enjoying the summer break! My garden is growing and my dog, Shelby, is enjoying some extra walks. I’ve been drawing, painting, and teaching myself bookbinding. I can now make my own art journals…. sweet!

School is slowly creeping up on us and I want to keep you updated on what is needed for the upcoming school year. Check out Staples because they substantially lower their prices to start the back to school supply feeding frenzy. With that in mind, I have signed up for the Teacher Rewards program. For every receipt you scan on their site, I will receive 5% back to my account. This will help me to fund the extras we always need each year.

What you will need for the 2019-2020 school year…

Homeroom: 2 boxes of tissues, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 container of hand wipes, 1 container of sanitizing wipes, and 1 ream of copy paper. I have enough lined paper so no need to purchase that .

Locker: Please enclose $5.00 in an envelope with your name on it for your lock. Purchase a locker shelf (I recommend the metal ones, they fit better in the lockers and are sturdier).  No locker decorations please.

ELA / Reading (5th Grade), Literature (Grades 6-8). 2 one subject notebooks. If you can color coordinate these it definitely helps with organization. (Ex. Red notebook and folder for ELA and Green notebook and folder for Reading/Literature).  You will also need the following:

Large book socks for textbooks (Quantity 2). Please make sure you purchase the large size. The smaller book socks break the spines of the books because they are too tight.

1 pack of 5 x 7 notecards

Black or Blue stick pens (no gel pens or “click” pens). Red stick pen (no gel pens or “click” pens) – At least 2 of each.

Highlighters

#2 Pencils with erasers.

Religion: 3 one subject notebooks (1 for each trimester). Bring only 1 at the beginning of school. Black or blue stick pens and a folder. Again, if you can color coordinate the folder with the notebook it will help keep you organized.

Miscellaneous: You will need a pencil case for your pens, pencils, and erasers. You will also need some art supplies (markers, crayons, colored pencils and glue sticks). They will be needed for in school and at home projects.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

See you in September!
